UP FOR ADOPTION!!!!

Chaos

Chaos is a registered Standardbred who has never raced.  He came to the rescue at around 9-10 months old. He was bought from people who
abused him and he now has trust issues but, is working through them slowly.  Chaos stands at approximately 15.3 hands and not the typical
built Standardbred.  He is a handsome horse and very fluid in his movement.  He has had no training, but we are in hopes of starting some
ground work with him soon, if all goes well.  You can follow his progress in the "Horses in Progress" page.  We are hoping that he will be
more adoptable with a little ground work under him.  OR.... if someone, with some horse sense, is looking for a project, Chaos is your boy.
He needs someone to love him, earn his trust, be shown he will not be hurt again and train him kindly but firmly.  He needs a job.  He needs
a lot of work but, would be well worth the effort for the right person.  Come by and take a look.  Pictures don't do this horse justice.  He is
truly a beautifl animal and can be made into whatever one has a desire to do with him.

 Flip Flop

Flip Flop is around 4 years old and deaf, although not 100% deaf. We have heard many stories on why her ears are the way they are.  It appears to
be a deformity.   Flip was one that no one wanted and was passed around. She has had some ground work by one of her previous owners, but we
are not sure if she had ever been ridden before.  She is one who needs to go back to basics in her training.  Any good horse person knows that
handling and ground work are a necessity with horses.  It would take "a very special person" to adopt Flip Flop.  Someone who is willing to work
with this type of special needs horse.  Although she is deaf, she can be taught just like any other horse, with the exception of needing to also teach
her sign language.  It has been discovered that Flip Flop can hear high pitched sounds but, not low pitch.  Wouldn't it be awesome if we could
make a hearing aid to help her??  In the meantime she is very well cared for and looking for her special spomeone to adopt her.

Sparkey

We also have a 18 year old black Standardbred ex-racer, who was recently gelded. He seems to be well
mannered when being handled. We think he may have been used for breeding at the track, as he came in
still intact as a stallion, was recently gelded but, still has the stud ways about him due to being  a stud for so long.
His ground exercises will begin as soon as we can and that will give us a little more to go on.  If he has raced,
then he would be a nice driving horse.  He is gaining his weight back nicely and looks absolutely beautiful.

SHREK

Shrek is an older gelding and quite the little horse. He has been ridden in the past, but it's
been awhile.  Shrek is a Morgan cross who stands about 13 - 13.3 hands.  He had foundereed
at some point in his life so whomever adopted him would have to watch his diet and not let
him out on too much green grass or gain too much weight.  He is at a good weight right now
for a foundered horse.  Shrek enjoys attention and is quite the character.   If no one wanted to
ride him, he would also make a nice pasture companion.  He still has years a miles left on him.
Shrek is a very nice boy.

LEWIE

Lewie is a 9 year old Standardbred, fresh off the track last August, so we
were told. Lewie came to us with severe rain rot and underweight, but is
healing, growing back his hair and gaining weight, again.   We are
hoping to add a new picture of Lewie to show his progress.  He stands
around 15.3 hands, is a gentle soul, and just needs someone to love him
and take good care of him.  People need to remember that these Standardbred's
do have a lot to offer.  Most people looking to adopt want something to ride,
which they can be ridden, but often people forget that they can be driven,
as they already have the training under them.  What a nice buffy horse he would be.
