Double B Equine Rescue
It Shouldn't Hurt To Be A Horse!!!!!
Home      About Us
Who we are....

Double B Equine Rescue is a Maine State Certified rescue that provides a safe haven for severely abused, neglected, abandoned horses of every breed, age, size, shape, and color.  We receive everything from minis to drafts.  Some are ridable, adoptable and sound.  Some are not.  But, here at Double B, they are all well cared for and loved.  Some will remain with us forever while others are looking for that "forever home".

We are small in size but, big on helping hearts and hands.  Our rescue is located on Rt. 148 in  Industry, Maine.  We have 22 acres of forest and pastured land. We are the most Northern State Licensed Rescue for the State of Maine.
Our rescue is self- financed yet, relies on the generosity of horse lovers everywhere, to make up a part of the money needed to run even a small rescue.  Most people do not realize what it takes to run such a facility.   And we are very happy and proud to see the public stepping up to help care for what others neglected or abused.  We receive donations from all over the country.  We receive donations from as far away as Colorado and south to Florida.  Some have donated money, winter blankets, halters, hay, grain, lumber, sand for a small arena, their time as volunteers and so much more.   We thank you all so very much.  All donations are excepted and appreciated by both human and horse.  All donations are tax deductible as defined by the IRS definition of 501c3 organizations, so please take advantage of this at tax time.

Our goal is.....
To provide a safe and caring environment for these beautiful animals that have suffered at the hands of other humans and to find good caring, quality homes for the adoptable ones.
